A FEW HELPFUL TIPS FOR THE WEEKEND
-
Welcome Party: Kindly join us in cocktail attire!
Ceremony & Reception: The evening will be formal. We invite gentlemen to wear tuxedos or suits with ties, and ladies to wear floor-length or tea-length gowns. The reception will take place on the lawn, so we suggest opting for a thicker heel.
For a bit of sartorial guidance, Presley has curated inspiration for each event below:
Grand Hotel embraces a long-standing tradition of elegance that has been part of the hotel’s history for generations. During the day, guests may enjoy a relaxed resort atmosphere with casual, yet refined attire. Prior to 6:30 PM, guests are asked to refrain from wearing midriff-baring tops, sweatpants, cut-off shorts, or sleeveless shirts.
After 6:30 PM, Grand Hotel maintains and enforces an elevated evening dress code in all main areas. Appropriate attire includes coordinated suits or sport coats with a tie for gentleman and dresses, skirts, blouses, or dressy separates for ladies. Denim, shorts, and athletic wear is not permitted.

In order to prioritize an intimate wedding weekend with those we love most, invitations are limited to guests named on the invitation. We are so excited to celebrate our love with the friends and family we’ve thoughtfully chosen to be part of this weekend. Thank you for your understanding.

We love your little ones! However, due to limited space, we hope you understand that our wedding weekend will be adults only.

Mackinac Island is best experienced without watching the clock. Staying on the island allows guests to move seamlessly between events, explore at their own pace, and fully enjoy the charm of the weekend without coordinating ferry schedules.
We recommend staying at the Grand Hotel, where a room block has been reserved for our wedding guests and where Presley and Eric will be staying throughout the weekend. To reserve your stay at Grand Hotel with the wedding rate, please click here.
Should you decide to stay off the island, we have included a few off-island accommodation options, along with ferry information and schedules, on our “Travel & Stay” page to help with planning.

July on Mackinac Island brings classic summer weather. Warm days and cool, refreshing evenings. Historically, daytime temperatures average in the low-to-mid 70s°F, with nighttime lows in the upper 50s°F.

All ferry boat lines operate frequently throughout the day — from both Mackinaw City and St. Ignace — from late April to November. Click here to see the 2026 Ferry Schedule.

If you arrive by ferry and are staying at Grand Hotel, luggage transfer is simple and convenient. When you check in your luggage with the ferry service on the mainland, it will be tagged and delivered to your hotel room. Upon check-in, present your luggage tags at the front desk. If you are arriving close to 6:00 PM, you may want to bring your evening wear with you to the hotel as luggage transfer may take up to three hours to get to the hotel from the dock.
If you are not staying on site at Grand Hotel, you can arrange a carriage taxi. We have provided further details on our “Travel & Stay” page.

Grand Hotel is a 15-to 20-minute walk from the ferry docks. Grand Hotel operates horse-drawn carriages between the docks and the hotel. As with all taxi services on Mackinac Island, there is a per person cash fee and seats are on a first-come, first-served basis.
Upon your arrival to the docks on Mackinac Island, you will be greeted by a dock porter who can answer any questions you may have regarding luggage or taxi transportation to the hotel.
